Have you ever received an email from the CEO asking for gift cards?

Identifying some phishing emails may not be that easy since the bad guys are always coming up with more clever ways to trap you into thinking the email is legit.
Here is an email we encountered this week:

So, what can I do to stay safe?
In the example below, it appears the email has been sent by the CEO of the company which has trapped many employees into doing what is asked. You should always hover over the name of the person sending the message and verify the email address is correct. Even if the address looks good it does not always mean you are safe. Bad guys often spoof these addresses, so you want to also check for spelling errors in the message along with asking yourself why he is asking for gift card numbers? If you are suspicious about the email then text the boss to verify.
